Welcome to Hedgehogs' Class
Hedgehogs is where the learning begins at Witchampton. Our class is small, very supportive and an ideal place to make friends and explore lots of different learning experiences. Mrs Jenkinson teaches the children every Wednesday and Thursday. Miss Snozwell teaches the children every Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Miss Snape supports the class throughout the week.
Mrs Jenkinson is the Early Years Leader in the school and loves to see how the children learn and develop throughout the year. She has a close relationship with Little Owls pre-school and visits and links up whenever possible. She also runs the Recorder Club in school and teaches the children how to Maypole Dance in the Summer Term.
Miss Snozwell is responsible for Pupil Premium in the school and is also the I.T. expert!
We have our very own garden and outside area so the children have the opportunity to learn inside and outside. We link up with Little Owls pre-school in summer term for exciting Forest School sessions held in the school grounds and the 'Secret Garden'! The learning is both adult led and child initiated.
Fifi is our cuddly, class pig and every evening she has an adventure with someone at their house. This gives them a chance to develop their speaking and listening skills and is very popular. She has been to the park, on shopping trips, to birthday parties and even to the beach.
We look forward to seeing you in Hedgehogs!

Have you seen the Friv4school? Play games, and visit some cool websites.
Great phonics games for children.
More phonics games, following the school sets of words.
Letter join is the programme used in class to practise handwriting. This site allows you to practise handwriting at home on a tablet, print out worksheets, or just have fun following funny patterns. If you have lost the login details, just pop in and ask!!!
You may have heard the Hedgehogs singing subitise songs (we apologise). However if you wanted to practise these at home (or even learn the song and dance yourself), find Jack Hartmann on youtube with this link.
Down on the Farm
A Witchampton favourite! Down on the farm teaches children all about farm life throughout the seasons.
